Ever since I can remember, I have been a part of some kind of team -- whether it be basketball, volleyball, lacrosse, swimming, field hockey -- I’ve dabbled in it all. Once I got to Oregon State in 2009, I was playing lacrosse but still wanted to get workouts in on my own. It was then that a friend introduced me to CrossFit. She started bringing me to a local garage gym. But it wasn’t until summer of 2010 that I joined a sanctioned CrossFit gym back in my hometown of Los Gatos, California, and I drank the Kool Aid. I continued CrossFit up until January of 2014 when Quint convinced me to start competing in the sport of Olympic weightlifting. I was a bit hesitant at first, but was hooked after my first meet in March three months later. Sure, I may have bombed out, but the experience of the meet itself was unlike anything I had ever done before. And I wanted more. I mean, if anything, I needed to redeem myself!

During my training, I decided to take my passion for weightlifting and exercise and turn it into my career as a coach. I quickly fell in love with every aspect of the job and hope I can help you reach all of your fitness goals.
